Is there anything better than going camping with your friends and family? The fresh air, the beautiful scenery, the stars, the smells, the dirt between your toes, the chirping of birds and the rustling of the leaves in the trees! It’s a sensory overload and one which deserves far more credit.
And not that you need any reason to want to go, we’ve decided to share a few with you anyway!

Sure, it sounds cheesy and cliché but it’s the truth and there’s no denying it. Camping and being out in the wild allows you to connect with nature and let it wash over you like a light, refreshing wave.
2 – Switch Off
When you’re out in the sticks, you no longer have to worry about your emails or Facebook statuses or anything like that. You can simply switch off for a while and just enjoy the magic in the moment, absent judgment or concern.
3 – You Don’t Need Much
That’s the beauty about camping; you really don’t need all that much to survive or have a good time. Just a few bare necessities, some nice weather and your favourite people. I mean, you’ll want to find a quality mat for camping as you want a little bit of comfort from home, but other than that you’re pretty much good to go!
4 – Proper Decent BBQ Style Food
Who doesn’t love eating beans out of a tin with some grilled rips that you cooked over an open flame? Eating outdoors in the elements is an enthralling experience and it makes camping all the more enjoyable, that’s for sure.
5 – You Don’t Have to Break the Bank
Why skimp and save all year for a holiday abroad, when you can enjoy some camping in your local wilderness for next to nothing and still have an incredible time? Sure, it’s nice to get away now and again to see different parts of the world, but it’s important to remember how much beauty there is on your doorstep.
6 – Get to Know Your Local Area Better
Leading on from ‘not having to break the bank’, there really are some wonderful hidden gems right under your nose. Get out and explore some areas which you’ve never been to and you’ll surely discover some incredible beauty.
7 – Stargazing is 1 Million Times Better
In the middle of nowhere with next to light pollution and no clouds to block out the stars, you have access to an entire skyline of sparkling magnificence. One of the best feelings if cuddling up with your loved ones next to the fire and staring up into space, pondering those deeper questions in life.
8 – It’s Exciting!
The thrill of the adventure is exciting! Get out there and explore the wilderness, climb trees, rock-climb, dive into freezing cold rivers and ultimately have an amazing time with those you hold dearest to you, – that’s what it’s all about.
